The Airlie Beach Lagoon is one of the most popular attractions for both visitors and locals; a man-made sandy beach lagoon on the Airlie Beach foreshore. With fantastic views across the bays to the islands, the saltwater Lagoon is surrounded by landscaped gardens and grassy knolls perfect for picnicking and relaxation.
The sandy beach area at one end of the Airlie Beach Lagoon provides a safe environment for children to splash about in the shallows, and the connection to surrounding parklands and the boardwalk means the family can gather over a BBQ lunch at the facilities provided. Lifeguards monitor the Lagoon during the day, and the nearby state-of-the-art playground is shaded and includes all-access play faciltities for every child.
With all the amenities needed for a fun, family day out, the Airlie Beach Lagoon is free and open every day from dawn to dusk.
