Experience the thrill of sailing the Whitsundays

Tourism Whitsundays is one of 14 Regional Tourism Organisations (RTOs) in Queensland. As a Regional Tourism Organisation for the Whitsundays we are responsible for the promotion of an area that consists of 74 islands located in the heart of the Great Barrier Reef and the Whitsunday Coast from Bowen in the north to Midge Point in the south, inland to Proserpine and to the coast including Airlie Beach.

By air, the region is around an hour from Cairns or Brisbane and two hours from Sydney. Visitors can enjoy a diverse range of activities including watersports, bushwalking, pampering and golf. A range of accommodation from budget backpacker to B&Bs through to luxury 5-star resorts exists for visitors to the destination.

The Whitsundays International Product Manual is the primary resource for international travel trade to learn about the Whitsundays as a destination, things to see and do, accommodation providers, tour operators and how to book all the components of a Whitsundays holiday.
