Celebrate this coming festive season in style on Hayman Island. Hayman invites you to experience an Australian Christmas like no other with on a beautiful private island destination situated on the Great Barrier Reef. With many activities on the calendar there is something for everybody.
Everyone is invited along to Hayman Beach on Christmas Eve to kick off the Christmas cheer with Hayman’s Carols on the beach. Families can treat themselves to a Gourmet Christmas Picnic while the children take part in a Sandman Building Competition. For those who embrace the European traditions, Hayman invite you to an Australian-inspired Reveillon dinner; indulge with good food and enjoy the festive spirits at renowned Hayman restaurant Fontaine.
Families can start their Christmas morning off on Hayman Beach with a special appearance by Santa Claus. Children are invited to attend Santa’s workshop where they will receive a surprise gift. Continue the festivities with an Australian style Christmas dinner overlooking beautiful Hayman Beach at signature seafood grill Azure.
Christmas on Hayman would not be complete without Boxing Day celebrations soaking up the sun on the Sun Eagle. Guests are invited on a fabulous cruise to the white silica sands of Whitehaven Beach. Afternoon tea and canapés as well as a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided on the launch. Choose to sit back and daydream on Whitehaven Beach or take part in lots of fun beach and water activities.

Marina Village, the island’s hub of shops and restaurants will stage the biggest outdoor party with bar stalls, fireworks and live entertainment. The popular Marina Tavern will incorporate an open-air entertainment area where you can dance the night away with a band playing live music. A great fireworks extravaganza takes you into 2012.
Enjoy the views of Hamilton Island Marina sitting on the balcony of the Balcony bar listening to the band in the front bar, awaiting the fireworks to explode at midnight. After the countdown is complete, join the party atmosphere in Boheme's nightclub and groove to the hits of the island DJ. Doors open at midnight.

Billed as the Whitsundays' hottest NYE party, the 3 day 2 night party on South Molle island begins on Friday 30th December with live poolside music, beachfront bar party and chilled DJ sets. Airlie Beach Fireworks on the Foreshore
Ring in 2012 with a band, and celebrate with the locals while enjoying two big sets of fireworks in Airlie Beach. Best vantage points will be along the beachfront, the park along the foreshore and the Airlie Beach lagoon. BYO rugs and nibblies, or visit the restaurants along the foreshore. You can also see the fireworks from the water with Sundowner Cruises (see below).
Displays will take place at 9pm and midnight in New Years Eve 2011, with fireworks set off from the point in Airlie Creek.
