I want to film/take photos in the Whitsundays. Do I need a permit?

Most filming and photography on the Whitsunday Coast and Islands is covered by a permanent arrangement between the Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS) and Tourism and Events Queensland for filming and photography for the positive promotion of Queensland. If filming/taking photos on the water, you may need permission from the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority (GBRMPA). Contact ph. +61 (0)7 4750 0700.
