The 74 Islands of the Whitsundays form the largest offshore island chain on Australia ’s coastline. With ten resorts on eight islands there is something for every visitor. BRAMPTON ISLAND. At the southern end of the Whitsundays, Brampton Island is almost entirely National Park. With a rhythm of its own there are activities to enjoy at every imaginable tempo - from fast and furious water sports, to relaxing by the pool, pure escapism at the island spa, fine dining or the sunset cruise. For the highly adventurous, try the Jet Ski Safari to circumnavigate the island and explore beautiful beaches and secluded spots. The channel between Brampton and neighbouring Carlisle Island disappears at low tide, enabling guests to walk across to uninhabited Carlisle Island . Boat access is available, complete with tours of the island’s 1000 year old Melaleuca Forest .

Unique to the island is a man-made outdoor aquarium, a stunning network of reef lagoons containing over 40 marine fish species and 50 coral varieties. Visitors can snorkel or dive the island’s fringing reef. Recreational activities also include water sports, mini golf, movies at the scenic open-air cinema or swimming in one of the island’s pools. The island has over 420 hectares of National Park and 16 kilometres of trails to explore that lead to beaches, bays and great views from Mt Jeffreys.
