Whitsunday Running Festival | 16 to 17 July
The fourth annual Cruise Whitsundays Airlie Beach Running Festival is on again and will include the ever popular half marathon, plus 10km and 5km fun runs, and the Primary School Challenge. Find out more here.
Bowen Offshore Superboats | 23 to 24 July
In 2016, Bowen will again host a round of the Australian Offshore Superboat Championships. The Bowen Offshore Superboats will again put the focus on the Bowen Foreshore and will be the town's largest on-water event. Find out more here.
Whitsunday Reef Festival | 5 to 14 August
The vibrant town of Airlie Beach will light up in August for the sixteenth annual Reef Festival as it celebrates what it means to live in the Whitsundays, in the heart of the Great Barrier Reef. Find out more here.
Airlie Beach Race Week Festival of Sailing |12 to 19 August
Airlie Beach is known as one of the World's premier sailing destinations and home to one of the largest yacht racing regattas staged off the Australian Coast - Airlie Beach Race Week and its onshore Festival of Sailing. Find out more here.
Whitsunday Writer's Festival | 2 to 4 September
The Whitsunday Writers Festival will be held at Lure at Abell Point Marina this year, with guest speakers including Ben Southall, Annie Seaton and Lindsay Jane Simpson. Find out more here.
