The Whitsunday Region Information Centre (WRIC) offers a high level of customer service through providing information and directions to locals and visitors. Volunteers can get involved and assist the WRIC by helping with the following tasks:
- Responding to phone calls for the Visitor Information Centre
- Selling retail and consignment stock, assisting with accommodation and tour bookings
- Maintaining a clean and attractive entry to the centre and the display of brochures and retail item.
If you love talking to people and sharing your enthusiasm and knowledge about the Whitsundays, have experience in retail, hospitality, travel or tourism - and are able to commit to one four-hour daytime shift each week (either on weekdays or weekends), we would love to meet with you and discuss your potential to join us as a Volunteer Ambassador.
