The sun is shining and the clean-up from Tropical Cyclone Debbie is well underway. The authorities are working hard to restore access and services so that everyone can get to business as quickly as possible.  Some tour and charter operators are already back on the water, other tourism business may take a bit longer. Thank you for your patience as our tourism industry and community work hard to ensure our visitors are looked after. We’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who is providing support and countless messages that they will visiting us soon!

The Department of Transport and Main Roads has an extensive list of road closures at the QLD Traffic website at www.qldtraffic.qld.gov.au – it includes an interactive map, a list of road closures and live traffic cameras. You can also call 13 19 40. Please keep in mind the only way to stay safe is to stay out of floodwater. So if it’s flooded, forget it!
