1. Bicentennial Walkway
The Bicentennial Walkway is approximately 4km, starting at Cannonvale Beach. The walk winds its way along the coastline past the Volunteer Marine Rescue Centre, along Shingley Beach, through Coral Sea Marina past Coral Sea Resort Hotel through to the Airlie Beach Lagoon. It's an easy walk with so much to see along the way. Grab a coffee from Fat Frog Beach Café at Cannonvale Beach to start your enjoyable stroll along the Bicentennial Walkway and end with a dip in the Airlie Beach Lagoon. Along the way, there is free to use exercise equipment, the first at Cannonvale Beach near the playground, the second station is at the Volunteer Marine Rescue.

2. Honeyeater Lookout
5km return. Allow 2hr.
This rugged track is a favourite for those up for a fitness challenge, both walking and riding. Known as a good 'leg-stretch' of a walk, with some gradients being up to 35° within the first 2km, it's strenuous in parts, exposed and hot (in the warmer months), the views though are worth every step. Start at the Conway circuit track entrance near Kara Crescent in Airlie Beach. The turn-off to the lookout is 2.3km along the track and leads to panoramic views over Airlie Beach and out to the Whitsunday Islands.
3. Mount Rooper Lookout and Swamp Bay
8km return. Allow 2.5hr.
Set in the hinterland near Shute Harbour, take a moderate uphill walk through woodland plant communities. Soak up the panoramic vista of the Whitsunday Passage and islands. You will have the opportunity to spot many of the local Whitsundays fauna and flora.

4. Southern Whitehaven Beach Lookout

400m headland track. Allow 30min.
If you're out on a day tour around the Whitsunday Islands that stops off at the south end of Whitehaven Beach, you MUST experience this walk! You'll see Whitehaven Beach's 7km shoreline with uninterrupted views. And get a closer look at the enthralling Solway Passage. There are fascinating rock formations and incredible views of the islands dotted in the sparkling Coral Sea.

5. Hill Inlet Lookout
One of the most photographed lookouts in Australia is Hill Inlet and for a good reason! While enjoying your Whitehaven Beach experience, take the short stroll up to the Hill Inlet Lookout, see the swirling white sands of Whitehaven Beach and the turquoise waters of the coral sea melt together in a fusion of incredible beauty!
