Tourism Whitsundays Limited is the peak destination marketing and Regional Tourism Organisation for the Whitsundays Region. The entire Whitsundays region includes the Whitsunday Islands and the mainland towns of Airlie Beach, Bowen, Collinsville and Proserpine.

Located in the heart of the Great Barrier Reef, lies the 74 island wonders of the Whitsundays.   • Tourism Whitsundays is an industry driven marketing organisation funded by Whitsunday Regional Council, Tourism and Events Queensland and membership from the tourism industry
  • The position is to provide corporate support and assistance to the CEO, Board and Management team at Tourism Whitsundays
  • This is a new position within the organisation which will be vital to the team achieving increased marketing outcomes
  • The position reports to the Chief Executive Officer
  • Key skills required include a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality, high degree of attention to detail, high-level written and oral communication skills, ability to manage workload and conflicting priorities and to work to deadlines

The Executive Assistant will report to the Chief Executive Officer and will be responsible for office administration including:

  • Reception duties including responding to telephone calls, emails and greeting clients, handling and distributing mail, filing and photocopying, maintaining records.
  • Booking corporate travel and ensuring appropriate procedures and systems are in place.
  • Coordinate Board activities including meetings, board papers, agendas and minutes.
  • Provide corporate services support including membership and finance teams.
  • Maintaining the company social media channels.

The position will be full time, with hours to be worked between 8:30 am to 5:00 pm Monday to Friday. Some weekends and evenings may be required including monthly networking nights.
