A hold on evictions for renters - Evictions will be put on hold over the next 6 months for commercial and residential tenancies in financial distress, who are unable to meet their commitments due to the impact of the coronavirus.

Business Mentoring Assistance - Mentoring for Growth - The Mentoring for Growth program has mentors ready to connect with impacted small businesses and may be able to provide tailored support including financial mentoring and business planning.

Facebook is investing $100 million to help 30,000 small businesses in over 30 countries, in the form of cash grants to keep the lights on and pay staff who can’t come to work and/or ad credits to help during this challenging time. You can apply at https://www.facebook.com/business/boost/grants. Applications will be taken in the coming weeks but in the meantime, you can sign up for updates on the page. 

Payroll tax relief - You may be eligible for one or more of a range of payroll tax relief measures as a result of the impacts of coronavirus (COVID-19).

The Queensland Government has a Community Recovery Hotline to assist people who have been advised to quarantine and need support: 1800 173 349. These teams assist with organizing the safe delivery of essential food and medication to those who cannot leave their homes.

Queensland Health has now established a separate process to respond directly to questions and clarifications, which can be found online at https://www.health.qld.gov.au/system-governance/legislation/cho-public-health-directions-under-expanded-public-health-act-powers. On the right-hand side of the landing page is information on how to ask a specific question about how the directives apply in particular circumstances.  While exact timeframes are not published, we understand the response time to questions and clarifications is reasonable.

The Australian Government recently announced the COVID-19 Export Capital Facility.  Export Finance Australia has provided more information about these new loans. Due to minimum value, these loans may not be best suited to all businesses.
