Rippa Rods Family Fishing Competition

BIG4 Whitsundays Tropical Eco Resort is hosting its very first Annual Fishing Competition here in the Whitsundays.
The event will run for two days over the May long weekend, 1st and 2nd May. The competition entry is AUD15 per person, and AUD5 will be donated to a Local Charity.
The competition is a family-friendly event with currently AUD5000 in cash and prizes for the winners. The prize structures are split between three divisions: Men’s, Women’s and under 12’s with 8 catch species. They are promoting a catch and release competition in an effort to maintain sustainability in conjunction with our Eco Accreditation.
They have live music, camp fires, spit roast on Sunday evening, ninja challenge's cast net throwing comp and more family activities over the long weekend.
