The Pit Pony Festival is celebrating 100 years of Mining in Collinsville along with the local history. To start the day off the Festival Street Parade will commence at 9am from the Collinsville MPHS on Garrick Street and continue to the Collinsville Showgrounds via Stanley Street and Railway Road. Categories for the Street Parade include: • Best Themed Float (100 years of Mining) • Pit Pony Festival Queen (15 years and over) • Pit Pony Prince & Princess (8 to 14 years) • Pit Pony Tiny Tots – (male and female) • Best Decorated Bike Things to see and do: Market stalls in the car park closest to G-Spot Mechanical and Engineering will see vendors both local and out of town display a variety of fresh produce, plants and homemade crafts to mention a few. The Collinsville Community Centre will have an exhibition on display with Arts and Crafts, Fresh Produce and Horticulture submitted by residents and students within the community. Entertainment for all ages including amusement rides. Fireworks Saturday at 7pm! Live entertainment: 3pm to 5pm Kieran McCarthy. 5pm to 7pm Ash Smith. 7pm to 9pm The Cadillac’s Rock and Roll. 9pm to 12am Left of Centre.
