About the Role:
The Marketing Coordinator at Tourism Whitsundays will play a pivotal role in driving the organisation’s marketing efforts to showcase the unique beauty and attractions of the Whitsundays. This position involves planning, coordinating, and implementing various marketing initiatives to increase the region’s visibility as a premier tourist destination. The Marketing Coordinator will create and manage marketing campaigns, design eye-catching collateral using tools like Canva and Adobe Suite, and support PR activities and website management. This role requires close collaboration with the Marketing Manager and the wider team, attendance at industry events and trade shows, and identifying new marketing opportunities domestically and internationally. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of creativity, strategic thinking, exceptional communication skills, and a proactive problem-solving approach. Experience in graphic design and video editing and familiarity with CMS platforms will be advantageous. A passion for tourism and the ability to work effectively in a team and independently will be crucial in promoting the Whitsundays as a top travel destination.
