The 9 Best Breakfast Spots In Airlie Beach

The 9 Best Breakfast Spots In Airlie Beach

Is breakfast the most underrated meal to eat out, or is it the most overrated meal? We are firmly in the underrated camp here; breakfast is the best meal to eat out. Nothing says Good Morning like a freshly squeezed glass of orange juice, hot coffee with some Van Gogh-inspired coffee art and a lush plate of perfectly poached eggs on a slice of sourdough with a half-inch of avo and fetta. Do you see how it’s the best meal of the day now? Even if you don’t see it, the places we’ve got to show you below will convince you!

Beachside Breakfast: Fat Frog Beach Cafe

  1. Direct beach access is hard to beat in many things; real estate, resorts and breakfast places! This is your spot if you like your breaky served with a healthy side of ocean views and breezes. A bustling café, Fat Frog Beach Café is a firm fav with the locals. The menu is traditional and surprising; you can order breakfast for lunch or lunch for breakfast; they don’t judge!

@fatfrogbeachcafe

Our recommendations: housemade Spanish beans & the buttermilk pancake stack!

People Watching Vantage Point: Garuma Café

  1. If you love to people-watch while you’re enjoying your meal, Garuma is the place. With the main street frontage and high bar seating that overlooks the street, you won’t miss a thing. The food at Garuma is some of the best you’ll eat in The Whitsundays, and their breaky rolls have a cult following amongst locals.

@garumacafe

Our recommendations: breaky roll & the eggs and avo on sourdough!

Buffet Breakfast: Mantra Club Croc, Whisper Restaurant & Gin Bar, Coral Sea Resort (The Rocks)

  1. There aren’t too many buffet breakfast options in The Whitsundays, which suits most people, but sometimes you need to be able to have all the breakfast options without ordering ten meals! CC’s Bistro in Mantra Club Croc has a buffet breakfast that caters to gluten-free, vegetarian, meat eaters and hot & cold preferences. It’s everything you need when you’ve got no idea what you want for breakfast!

Our recommendations: a bit of everything!

  1. Looking for even more convenience, why not start your day with a delicious Buffet Breakfast at Whisper Restaurant & Gin Bar paired with a convenient Bus Pick-Up? The pick-ups are available every day between 6-7am for accommodations between BIG4 Adventure Whitsunday, Cannonvale and Mango House in Jubilee Pocket. Make it easy on yourself and book online for the Buffet Breakfast Bus. The adult price is $29, and for children, it’s just $14. Enjoy the comfort of the courtesy bus as it picks you up from your accommodation and brings you to the Whisper Buffet Breakfast. If you have a day of activities and tours planned, let your tour provider know; from there, your tour provider will take over and ensure you make it in time for your day’s activities.

  1. Escape to a tropical paradise at The Rocks, located on the stunning oceanfront at Coral Sea Resort. You’ll be hard-pressed to find a better breakfast view than this. The combination of breathtaking views, a decadent buffet breakfast and a relaxed poolside atmosphere makes The Rocks the perfect destination for a memorable breakfast experience. An Early Breakfast: The Deck

  1. Do you open your eyes and desperately search for a coffee? The Deck has you covered; they open promptly at 6am and can have coffee and food in front of you in under 30mins. They are also in the middle of the main street, so they aren’t far away from all the accommodations in Airlie Beach.

@thedeckairlie

Our recommendations: mushroom and halloumi stack or a fresh almond croissant!

Poolside Breakfast: Treehouse Airlie Beach & Wisdom Café

  1. Not technically poolside, but more lagoon-side, The Treehouse (as the locals call it) has a beautiful spot under a couple of big old fig trees for you to enjoy breakfast. With a menu that blurs the line between breakfast, brunch and lunch, The Treehouse has something for everyone!

@thetreehousecafe

Our recommendations: Tuscan baked eggs & the green bowl!

  1. Also situated on the lagoon side is Wisdom Café, offering various tasty and healthy options, including deli-style sandwiches, freshly prepared salads, acai bowls, and healthy sweet treats. They believe in giving your body what it deserves, so check it out and enjoy a meal that tastes good and is good for you too! Don’t forget about their gourmet coffees, guaranteed to give you the energy you need for the day ahead. So, grab a seat in the sun, sink into a cosy bean bag, and relax.

Our recommendations: a sandwich of your choosing or an acai bowl with coffee, of course!
