Fly into Whitsunday Coast Airport at Proserpine and transfer to Airlie Beach in 20 minutes. Drop your bags and get on the water. An afternoon jet ski tour through the Whitsunday Passage with Whitsunday Jetski Tours, then dinner on the foreshore. You have been here half a day and you are already sunburnt.

Day one: Arrive at Whitsunday Coast Airport
Touch down at Proserpine. The airport is small, the transfer is 20 minutes, and the water is waiting. Grab the hire car or catch a shuttle to Airlie Beach.
2Day one: Check in at Coral Sea Resort
Coral Sea Resort sits right above the marina, a couple of minutes from where most of the tour boats depart. Drop your bags, check in, and get your bearings. The jet ski check-in is downstairs at the marina in a couple of hours.
3Day one: Jet ski tour with Whitsunday Jetski Tours
Check in at Coral Sea Marina one hour before the 2:30pm departure. The guided tour runs for an hour and a half along the Airlie Beach coastline, through sheltered bays with views across to the Whitsunday Islands. Keep an eye out for sea turtles in the shallows.
4Day one: Airlie Beach foreshore
Dry off and head for the foreshore. If it is a Saturday, the night markets are on. If not, the waterfront restaurants and bars are open every night. Either way, eat well. Tomorrow is a big day.
