7:30AM: LEARN THE ROPES & TAKE THE WHEEL

Time to trade passenger princess for captain. With Portland Roads’ Bareboat Charter Experiences, you’ll learn the ropes before self-skippering and self-catering your way through the spectacular Ngaro Sea Country of the Whitsundays. 1PM: SET SAIL FOR THE HORIZON

After you've shown off your chef skills, and the tummies are full, continue your sailing adventure. Your next stops are The Whitsundays' two largest islands, Whitsunday Island and Hook Island. Think fringing coral reefs, island hikes and sunsets to die for. If you're in The Whitsundays during humpback whale migration season (June - September), keep your eyes peeled for a spectacular sighting. Isabella was lucky enough to get up close. Now that’s what we call a captain’s perk!
