Eco Barge Clean Seas Inc.

is a not-for-profit environmental organisation and registered charity based in Airlie Beach, dedicated to protecting the Whitsundays and Great Barrier Reef through hands-on conservation and community engagement.

The organisation offers an engaging, curriculum-aligned excursion experience at Eco HQ, designed specifically for school groups. These 1.5-hour guided sessions educate, inspire, and empower students to understand and care for the marine environment.

Led by passionate volunteer educators, students are taken behind the scenes of Eco Barge's operations, including:

- The Whitsunday Turtle Rescue Centre, where sick and injured marine turtles are rehabilitated

- Marine debris recycling facilities, where ocean plastics are transformed into reusable products

- A hands-on, interactive recycling activity that encourages problem-solving and sustainability thinking

- Educational insights into the Great Barrier Reef ecosystem and the impact of marine debris

The experience is interactive, age-appropriate, and tailored to support learning outcomes. Students leave with a deeper understanding of environmental stewardship and practical ways they can help protect Australia's unique marine ecosystems.
