Your Whitsundays experience starts here...

Whitsundays weather is sub-tropical, which means a tropical climate of hot summers, warm winters and bright spring and autumn days are experienced each year, creating the perfect conditions for the region’s lush rainforests, picturesque waterfalls, healthy hinterland harvests and, of course, stunning beaches.

Average daily temperatures range from around 22 to 23 degrees Celsius (73.4 degrees Fahrenheit) in the winter months of June and July, and up to 29 to 30 degrees Celsius (86 degrees Fahrenheit) in December and January - the height of summer. Water temperatures remain a welcoming 25 degrees Celsius (77 degrees Fahrenheit) most of the year round, which means the Whitsunday waters are perfect, year-round, for not only swimming, snorkelling and scuba diving but various other water activities.

The tropical wet season occurs during January to March, when days can be steamy and the summer heat is often broken by tropical showers, many of which last for only a few moments before the sun’s rays are beaming again.
