The day begins with a sunrise tandem skydive over Airlie Beach and the islands, then slows to island time with a shuttle and boat transfer to Palm Bay Resort on Long Island, where guests settle into Balinese-inspired villas and enjoy a relaxed dinner in a secluded tropical cove.

Day four: Sunrise skydive with Skydive Australia
Day four starts before sunrise at the Skydive Australia shop on the Airlie Beach main street. Guests gear up for a tandem skydive from up to fifteen thousand feet, with a scenic flight to altitude followed by the rush of freefall over the islands and reef. Under the canopy, they float back towards the coast, taking in sweeping views before landing and collecting photo and video footage of the jump.

Day four: Heart of Reef Shuttles to Shute Harbour
After the skydive, return to the accommodation to check out, then meet Heart of Reef Shuttles at the lagoon carpark. The shuttle runs from Airlie Beach to Shute Harbour, ready for the island transfer. The short drive follows the coastline and finishes at the modern ferry terminal.

Day four: Boat transfer to Palm Bay Resort Long Island
From Shute Harbour, board a boat transfer across the calm waters of the Whitsunday Passage to Long Island. The cruise is short and scenic, with rainforest-clad hills rising from the sea as the vessel approaches Palm Bay Resort’s private cove and jetty.

Day four: Stay at Palm Bay Resort Long Island
The afternoon and evening are spent at Palm Bay Resort on Long Island. Settle into Balinese-inspired villas, relax in hammocks and by the pool, and explore the beach and walking tracks around the secluded bay. With dinner credit included, many enjoy a relaxed meal in the guest lounge as the sun sets over the Whitsunday Passage.
