2Day one: Check in at BIG4 Adventure Whitsunday Resort
BIG4 Adventure Whitsunday Resort is on Shute Harbour Road in Cannonvale, four kilometres from the centre of Airlie Beach. Check in, drop your bags, and let the kids loose. The resort has a 13-slide waterpark, a 32-metre lagoon pool heated in winter, and more than 15 onsite activities across 26 acres of tropical gardens.
3Day one: Airlie Beach Lagoon
The lagoon sits right on the foreshore in the centre of Airlie Beach. It is free, open year-round, and supervised by lifeguards. Kids can swim and splash while you set up on the grass under the palms. When hunger hits, the fish and chip shops and waterfront restaurants are a two-minute walk along the boardwalk.
